Re-Cap of our 1st Grateful Dead Tribute!

Writer: Friends of Harmony HallFriends of Harmony Hall

What a fantastic day in Sloatsburg for the Inaugural Grateful Dead Tribute Music & Crafts Festival on Sunday July 31st! The Great Lawn of Harmony Hall-Jacob Sloat House was a sea of colorful tie-dye-wearing, happy people dancin’ & groovin’ to the music of our three featured bands. Not Phade Away, Uncle Shoehorn, and One Man Gathers (OMG) took the stage and boy did they deliver! Many of our attendees commented on how well organized the event was and how much fun they had.

“Lovely venue, will be back”

Cindi & Al Moring, Binghamton, NY

This event was made possible by our sponsors - The Town of Ramapo, The Sloatsburg Chamber of Commerce, Verizon, and Valley Rock Inn & Mountain Club. The organizers were the all-volunteer Board of Trustees - Friends of Harmony Hall-Jacob Sloat House (a not-for-profit 501c3). A great group of volunteers from the Sloatsburg community and beyond helped make the event run smoothly.

The event brings awareness to the restoration project, encourages volunteerism and promotes membership to the Friends of Harmony Hall.

Now we are hard at work with our upcoming 12th Annual Highlands Bluegrass Festival & Craft Fair, taking place on Sunday Sept. 11, 1-5pm. We hope to see you there!
