Highlights from 2019 Winter Solstice Celebration!

Updated: Dec 26, 2019

The Friends of Harmony Hall's season-closing event "Winter Solstice", was held on Saturday, December 21st. Attendance was excellent... guests enjoyed shopping for gifts before gathering in the parlor.

Curator Geoff Welch greeted guests with original keyboard music while his nature photography was projected; Dr. Howard Horowitz recited poems and Ramapough Lenape Shaman, Cindy Fountain shared reflections.

People from Middletown, NY, Westchester and New Jersey attended, as well as officials from Rockland including our County Executive, Ed Day who also made some remarks pointing out the county's involvement in the recent 1.2 million dollar restoration of the 1896 Cropsey Barn in New City.

The program concluded with a showing of a PowerPoint tribute to the late, beloved Gardener Watts with music by Geoff.
