Recap: Tulips Paint Night with Artytime!

Harmony Hall hosted its first "Paint Night At Harmony Hall" event led by Montebello resident Wendy Sommers of Artytime. The South Salon was an elegant setting for 22 participants - perfect for getting creative juices flowing. They had their choice of painting on canvas, a glass vase, or two wine glasses. Tulips were the subject painting of the evening, however, some participants chose to paint other types of flowers. One artist strayed further by choosing to paint her cat from a photo. That was just fine in the relaxed, no-judgment atmosphere. Wendy brought all the art supplies, guiding participants’ inner Van Gogh with simple instructions she demonstrated from her teaching canvas. Everyone enjoyed themselves - there was much laughter, socializing, and snacks shared. Wendy did a fabulous job conducting the event. She was professional and organized. "There were many first-timers at Harmony Hall who asked questions about its history" noted Kathy Goldman, Friends of Harmony Hall board member, who painted with her daughter, Jayne.
