The inaugural Holiday Artisan Fair held on Thursday night December 8, from 6 - 9 pm gave people a second chance to see Harmony Hall all dressed up in its holiday finery. The first glimpse of this year’s decorations was at our annual Victorian Holiday on Sunday, December 4th. Friends of Harmony Hall board members Kathy Goldman and Stephanie Hand, organizers of the artisan fair, thought it would be a perfect opportunity to show off Harmony Hall’s holiday regalia again. A small group of Friends’ members work vigorously decorating the inside and outside of the mansion for the one-day Victorian Holiday event and this presented another way for visitors to see the house in its splendor.
Board member Marianne Carroll greeted visitors at the door, gathered their info, and sold raffle tickets for a generous vendor gift basket. It was a lively night and people were in a good holiday spirit. The Holiday Artisan Fair drew in several folks living in Sloatsburg and neighboring Tuxedo who had never been to Harmony Hall. They were surprised and delighted to find such a gem right in the Village!
The festive decorations, the holiday music playing throughout the house and the variety of talented crafts persons really made for a bustling enjoyable evening! Shoppers enjoyed our signature mulled cider and hot chocolate while they made their selections. It was a wonderful evening to see our visitors leave with smiles on their faces and uniquely crafted items.
