About The Event

The upcoming 2022 Summer Solstice will be celebrated on Sunday, June 19 from 2 - 4 PM on the Great Lawn in front of Harmony Hall-Jacob Sloat House. We will be welcoming summer with live music, including traditional folk and original compositions by Geoff Welch on keyboards. Noted archeologists and authors Edward Lenik and Nancy Gibbs will be presenting highlights of their regional findings. Guests can sit back and experience Dr. Howard Horowitz's lyrical Ramapo Valley poetry and other poems, and presentations by other special guests.

Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Harmony Hall. Come enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon surrounded by magnificent views of the Ramapo Mountains at the 1848 New York State and National Register Sites of Historic Places. If it happens to rain, we will celebrate inside Harmony Hall.  A suggested donation of $5 is requested.
